LGBT+ Peer Support Groups
Mutual peer support occurs when people provide emotional, social, and practical support to each other around a common experience or personal circumstance, which participants may find helpful.
In a group setting this type of support can offer people an opportunity to explore their feelings in a safe and supportive environment, develop lasting friendships and support one another along the way. Check out the various groups available below:
LGBT+ Women’s Group with LINC – Advocating for Lesbian and Bi Women in Ireland
Online drop-in group every 2nd Thursday of the month from 7pm – 8pm via Zoom
A online safe space for women. The group is member-focused and completely confidential. New women always welcome!

Straight Spouses Group
2nd Tuesday of each month
from 7pm – 9pm via Zoom
A group for people who are, or have been, married or in a long term heterosexual relationship with someone who has disclosed that they now identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or who are questioning their sexuality or gender identity.

Married Men’s Group
1st Tuesday of each month
from 7pm – 9pm in-person in Dublin
The Married Men’s Group is for men who are, or have been, in a marriage or long term relationship with a woman and who identity as gay, bisexual or interested in men.
The group is hosted by the Dublin Switchboard and meets monthly offering a safe space for men to talk openly and confidentially and share similar experiences with other men.
Meetings take place in: Carmichael Centre, Brunswick Street, Dublin 7.

First Out for Gay/Bi Men
First Thursday of each month from 7pm-9pm via Zoom
A safe space for any men who are gay, bisexual or questioning and want to talk about coming out. The group is facilitated by trained volunteers, member-focused and completely confidential.

Is Rainbow Muid for LGBTI+ people seeking International Protection in Ireland
Meets regularly in-person on Saturday’s, learn more here.
This peer support group offers a safe space for people to talk openly and confidentially with other LGBTI+ people seeking international protection about their experiences. The group meets regularly on Saturday’s.
Facilitated by LGBT Ireland peer support group facilitator and LGBTI+ volunteers. LGBT Ireland also works closely with the Irish Refugee Council for this support group.

Married Women’s Group
Every 4th Wednesday of each month from 7pm-9pm via Zoom
A group for women who are, or have been, in an opposite gender marriage or long term relationship offering a safe space for women to talk openly and confidentially with other women about similar experiences.

LGBTI+ Addiction, Relapse and Recovery Group
3rd Tuesday of each month from 7pm-9pm (in-person)
Meets monthly to provide support, information, and guidance to anyone with a question or concern about addiction, relapse, or recovery.
In collaboration with Merchants Quay Ireland (MQI), this group is for adults who identify as LGBTI+. Support is provided for those in recovery from addiction and who may have relapsed.
