LGBT Ireland provides training on LGBT+ issues to a range of support services and community groups, who have LGBT+ people using their services.
Our training aims to enhance staff and volunteers understanding of the terminology and issues facing LGBT+ people and how to respond to LGBT+ people in a supportive and affirming way. The standard training is based on a two hour workshop but this can be adapted to meet the specific training needs of each service or group in the time available.
The training uses a mix of presentation, case studies, role-play, and group work and is ideal for anyone who works with LGBT+ people or has an interest in this area.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not recruit individuals for pre-arranged LGBT+ Awareness training courses. Rather, we respond to requests from groups / organizations / companies for training. We will consider any request involving a group of MORE THAN 10 participants.
