CONNECTING
When people experience stigma and social exclusion because of their sexuality or gender identity, it can have a significant and lasting impact on their mental health and well-being. An effective way to combat stigma and to lessen the impact of social exclusion, is to provide LGBT services in the communities in which LGBT people live.
To enhance the supports available at local level, we run our services through a network of local helplines. Our local volunteers provide confidential listening support and information by phone, online and face to face through our peer support groups. We also deliver awareness workshops to local community organisations and promote local LGBT events.
