LGBT Ireland is proud to announce that SSE Airtricity will renew their partnership and support for the National LGBT Helpline for another year. This renewal, made during Pride Month, carries extra significance as we come together to celebrate visibility, inclusion, and solidarity for LGBTQI+ people across Ireland.
The National LGBT Helpline, operated by LGBT Ireland, provides vital information, emotional support, and a listening ear to thousands of LGBTQI+ people, their families, and allies each year. Thanks to partnerships like this, the service remains accessible, confidential, and free to those who need it most.
Beyond their direct support for the Helpline, SSE Airtricity has shown a deep commitment to amplifying messages of inclusion and allyship through their broader partnerships and platforms. Their collaboration with the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) and their role as title sponsor of the League of Ireland has provided a powerful vehicle to promote LGBTQI+ visibility and support. The League of Ireland Initiative, which saw matchdays dedicated to spreading messages of inclusion and support for the LGBTQI+ community, and this year, out of home advertising of the National LGBT Helpline number, reached audiences far beyond the football pitch and reinforced the importance of standing together in solidarity.
