LGBT Ireland Announce Board Changes.

LGBT Ireland announce a change in Chair of the Board with Orla Howard stepping down and Sean Denyer voted into the role.

LGBT Ireland would like to express deepest gratitude to Orla for her leadership over the past three years in the role of Chairperson. Utilising her extensive experience across the private, public and third sectors, and as a seasoned human rights campaigner, Orla guided the organisation through a period of rapid growth and unprecedented challenges arising from the Covid-19 pandemic.

LGBT Ireland congratulates Sean Denyer on his appointment to Chair of the Board. Sean has served as a Board Director for the past two years. Sean is a public health physician who has worked in senior management roles for the last 25 years in both Ireland and the UK. He spent four years as a Child Health Specialist working in both the Department of Children and Youth Affairs and Department of Health. He is also an award-winning playwright and co-runs Acting Out, The LGBTQ+ theatre group.

LGBT Ireland would also like to express thanks and gratitude to all serving Board members, Bernardine Quinn, Clive Davis, Stephen Burke, Claire O’Connell, Martin Cooke, Roderick Maguire and Suzanne Crowe.
