*UPDATE*
Dublin District Court has dedicated two more dates, 3rd and 4th December 2020 for online hearings for parental orders under the CFRA.
Original Post:
Following the commencement of the final Parts of the Children and Family Relationships Act (CFRA) 2015, we’ve been working with the Court Service, to get hearings listed under the new provisions, that enable certain female same-sex parents with a donor conceived child, to have the child’s birth re-registrated so both parents can be listed on the birth certificate.
We are delighted to share the news this morning that the Dublin District has listed 21st and 22nd July for hearings under Parts 2&3 of the CFRA.
To be listed for these dates the Court will need to receive applications by the 7th July 2020. Applications need to be posted to Eamonn Doherty, Dolphin House, East Essex Street, Dublin 2. Applicants must include their phone number in their application so the Court Clerk can contact them.
To provide guidance for parents considering making an application, we have developed SAMPLE Grounding Affidavits and have included a copy of the Dublin Court Application.
If you are unsure of whether you are covered by the provisions of the CFRA, or you have legal questions about your own personal circumstances, please contact your solicitor or phone FLAC’s Telephone Information line on:  1890 350250 or 01 8745690 – Monday to Friday 9.30-1pm and Monday evenings from 7-9pm.
