Do you have great communication skills, and a basic understanding of digital marketing and social media?

LGBT Ireland is looking for a Digital Marketing Intern to help develop and deliver our digital media content. The Digital Marketing Intern will play a vital role in designing and delivering a social media content to highlight support and advocacy issues for the LGBTI+ community.

LGBT Ireland is a leading national charity with an online reach of over 150k people each year.  Our organisation runs the national LGBT Helpline, online support chat, and peer support which are available to support the LGBTI+ community across Ireland.

Each year our organisation supports thousands of people online, by phone and face to face, but we know more people could benefit from the services we provide, particularly those who face additional marginalisation.

About the Role

As the Digital Marketing Intern, you’ll be responsible for the design of digital materials for social media, copy writing for social media, planning social media posts and developing a campaign calendar, monitoring engagement, and seeking support from partners.

Your work will be overseen by the Communications officer, Claire Murphy who will rely on you to promote our services to target audiences.

About you

Creative, a great communicator, and social media savvy, you’re proactive in approach and enjoy collaborating with others. You will be open to developing LGBT Ireland’s digital media with strong messaging and an engaging design.

Skills required:

  • Copy writing for social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
  • Graphic design for social media (Using Canva, photoshop or similar)
  • Copy writing for email (Mailchimp campaigns)

Desired:

  • Proficiency with Mailchimp
  • Proficiency with graphic design

The internship is a voluntary position for 1 day per week for 6 months, a stipend of €20 per day will be paid to cover the interns expenses.

The hours of work are flexible and the day commitment can be spread out across week.
